Owned by David & Valera Anderson, this family business has over 50 years of history serving Carthage. Currently, Anderson Oil offers bulk delivery of gas and fuel; farm supplies, including oil, filters, belts, bolts, and batteries; and vet supplies.
A cornerstone of Carthage for over 50 years, the Cabaret Steak House
and Lounge has recently completed a renovation which added many
improvements to the establishment. Once a drug store, it now features
delicious dining and evening entertainment as a bar and restaurant. An
award winning menu and other specials draw customers from all over the area.
The Cabaret is owned by Rich Spurgin & Toni Clarey.
The Carthage Farmers Elevator & Ethan Co-op Lumber buys and
sells grain. Also available are all types of feed, seed and lumber
supplies.
Until the early 1970's grain was picked up at the elevator by train.
Most of the grain picked up by train was corn, wheat, rye, oats and
barley. Currently the elevator uses the old train depot to store feed.
It is owned by Russel Dillon.
DVA Quarterhorses is owned by Dave and Val Anderson. They have been breeding quarterhorses for over 30 years. Mare bloodlines consist of Driftwoods, Poco Bueno, Sugar Bars, Leo, Jewels Leo Bars, Colonel Freckles, King, Wimpy I, Sak Em San, Doc Bar, and Wheke.
